The Puffenbarger's have been training dogs since the mid-1990s. Lifelong dog owners, Sue and Mike were bitten by the obedience competition bug while living in Western Michigan. Since moving to Virginia in 1999, they’ve expanded their interests to include hunt tests and conformation.
When the Puffenbarger's decided to start a small breeding program, they chose the name
“Boyne Labradors” to honor Sue’s Irish heritage. The Boyne Valley is located in County Lough, where much of Sue’s family still resides.
